Tuesday, November 20, 2018

eEuroparts.com ROWE Racing, the professional racing division of eEuroparts.com, announced total it intends to field a four car team for the upcoming 2019 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season. The lineup will feature three Audi RS 3 TCR cars, and one Audi R8 LMS GT4. 2018 was the first year for the team in the IMSA Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge, and ultimately finished 3rd in the Touring Car Racing division (TCR) in 2018. The 2019 eEuroparts.com ROWE Racing season will again be presented by ROWE Motor Oil a division of ROWE Mineralölwerk.  eEuroparts.com is a leading retailer of auto parts for late-model European vehicles both from its store in Windsor, CT and online.

“We’re extremely excited to be presenting a four car line-up for 2019”, says team owner Matt Moran. “We know that the TCR category is poised to expand in the upcoming season and we’re looking to improve and grow as a racing team along with the series.” For eEuroparts.com ROWE Racing, improving upon success in 2018 by moving up to the Grand Sport class was the natural fit. “The move to GS with the Audi R8 GT4 platform was the natural next step for our team. We’re currently an entry level racing team where drivers can start in TCR with the goal of eventually moving into faster equipment. Hopefully that’s with our team, but we understand that it’s our responsibility to help our drivers improve their skills regardless, and reach their individual goals in the sport.  I see this as that next evolution for our team.”

The 2019 Lineup:

#2 Audi R8 LMS GT4 – Tyler Cooke and Kenton Koch. Tyler is an IMSA Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge veteran, most recently seen behind the wheel of the #82 Bimmerworld Optima Battery car which took third in season points in 2018. Kenton most recently co-drove the #12 eEuroparts.com Audi RS 3 LMS to two 4 podiums and two overall victories, and finished sixth place in team points over a shortened 2018 campaign.  The #2 car is sponsored by: eEuroparts.com, ROWE Motor OilAudi Genuine Parts.

#10 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR – Kieron O’Rourke and Lee Carpentier. Kieron and Lee combined for one podium finish at Sebring in 2018, and finished in third place in TCR season points. The dynamic duo will be back working on their driver changes in just a few short weeks getting ready for 2019 season.  Kieron original hails from Northern Ireland, but now lives in the Cayman Islands while Lee is the hometown hero from Sharon CT.

#12 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR – Ryan Nash and Russell McDonough. This car features two young American drivers who are making the move from open wheel to sports car racing.  Fenders may be a new addition to the duo, but speed will not be a problem.

#61 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR – Gavin Earnstone and Jon Morely. After a two-race inaugural season in 2018 Gavin and Jon will be back to contend for the full season in 2019.  This duo proved formidable in their two races last year and is looking to build on that experience into their first full season.
